TLT LLP

TLT is a UK commercial law firm who have specialised in the future energy sector for 20 years.

What do they do?

The firm regularly advises on ‘first of a kind’ projects - including subsidy-free, multi-technology, energy storage, and cleantech - and has been involved in modelling project structures and advising on funding options for both standalone EV charging infrastructure, fleet vehicle charging infrastructure and multi-technology projects that look to combine EV charging points with other assets such as solar and battery storage.

TLT has recently partnered with Carbon Intelligence, a leading advisory firm on sustainability and climate change issues and strategy, to support the development of an ambitious sustainability programme for the firm. The collaboration is focused on supporting TLT as the firm formalises its long-term sustainability strategy, and will be a key driver for the firm on its path to becoming a net zero emissions organisation.

Why do we love them?

Sustainability is at the heart of what TLT do and they’re one of only a few law firms with the specialist expertise to advise on all aspects of future energy projects; helping individuals, businesses and communities on their road to net zero.

“We are keen to help Action Net Zero break down the barriers to electric vehicle ownership. We want to help dispel the myths and provide businesses and individuals with the tools to take ownership of their own transition to low carbon transport. Sustainability is at the core of what we do at TLT and we are pleased to be in a position to share our expertise and experience with, and help make a difference to, the communities within which we live and work.”

Maria Connolly, partner and head of future energy and real estate at TLT.
