Need an electric car charger? | Why not rent your neighbour's
Co Charger is a unique community charging scheme giving motorists with chargers the opportunity to share them with a few neighbours, enabling them to change to an EV sooner.
The Co Charger app looks after the ‘matchmaking’ between people with chargers, known as ‘Hosts’ and ‘Chargees’ – those who’d like to share them. It handles the communications, bookings and payments so the whole process is simple, easy and hassle-free.
There are at least 250,000 home chargers in the UK – far more than the 35,000 public chargers currently available. By connecting neighbourhoods and helping motorists share their chargers, Co Charger is enabling the 40% of motorists who live in flats and terraces who aren’t able to charge at home transition to electric cars. This is a switch that millions are eager to make well in advance of the 2030 ban on new petrol and diesel sales. And Co Charger means they can do it now, without waiting for a single additional public charger to be installed.
Co Charger is an environmentally and socially responsible company. They are founded on the “Triple Bottom Line” framework, which ensures their environmental and social impacts can never be sacrificed for financial gain. They are aiming to gain B Corporation certification, the global standard and auditing authority for ethical companies.
