Need an electric car charger? | Why not rent your neighbour's

Joosup is a peer-to-peer EV charger sharing app giving motorists with chargers the opportunity to share them with other drivers.

If you're interested in owning or leasing an electric car, but don't have the space to install your own EV charger, then EV charger sharing is the perfect way to conveniently charge your car near to your home or workplace.

The Joosup EV charger sharing app looks after the ‘matchmaking’ between people with chargers (known as 'hosts'), and those who’d like to share them. It handles the communications, bookings and payments so the whole process is simple, easy and hassle-free.

Hosts can earn money for sharing their charger, and EV drivers are able to use the app to quickly find and pay for local charging points across the UK.

There are at least 250,000 home chargers in the UK – far more than the 50,000 public chargers currently available. By connecting neighbourhoods and helping motorists share their chargers, Joosup is enabling the 40% of motorists who live in flats and terraces who aren’t able to charge at home transition to electric cars. This is a switch that millions are eager to make well in advance of the 2030 ban on new petrol and diesel sales - and Joosup means they can do it now, without waiting for a single additional public charger to be installed.
